Rue Cler is one of the oldest and best market streets in Paris, located in the 7th arrondissement and very close to the Eiffel Tower. It is said to be the only true pedestrian street in Paris, although it didn’t feel that way when we arrived, as early morning delivery vans filled the street.

The cobblestoned street is lined with pastry shops, butchers, fromageries, delicatessens, florists, fishmongers, greengrocers, and cafes. It’s a very popular destination for tourists, but is mostly filled with locals out shopping, socialising and working.

Rue Cler and the surrounding streets are a great place for people watching and of course, street photography.
