By day rue de Buci, located in the 6th arrondisement, is a popular Parisian market street. At night, it takes on a different character as locals and tourists pour into the restaurants and cafes to eat, drink, laugh and chat with friends and family.

It was a great place to wander about and take it all in. Buskers entertained people strolling by, or those sitting in nearby cafes. Waiters drifted across the street to take a quick cigarette break before jumping back into the throng of customers. Couples wandered along arm-in-arm, checking out menus before deciding where to eat. It was also the perfect location to practice night street photography.
